My name is Michael Weeks. I have been taking pictures since my high school days in Atlanta and I continued to learn about photography in college while shooting for the yearbook at Auburn University. Photography is a hobby and my real job is teaching management at the University of Tampa. I currently teach corporate strategy and technology/innovation management at UTampa. I have Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and MBA degrees from Auburn University as well as Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the Uniersity of Oxford. Before coming to UTampa, I spent over 20 years in the Air Force. Much of that time was spent flying airplanes, including the C-141, T-38, and T-3. I also taught in the management department at the U.S. Air Force Academy for a number of years. Besides photography, my other hobby is playing the violin and consequently, you will notice a few pictures of violins on the site. As you can see from my biographical information, I have many varied interests. I think this eclectic approach to life also carries over into my photography. I like all types of photography, from landscape to nature as well as portraiture and still life. I am married and have two daughters. I love to travel and almost always carry a lot of photo gear on my trips--much to the dismay of my family. For those who are curious about gear, all of the photos on this site were taken with Nikon cameras--specifically, the D200, D70, Coolpix 7900, Coolpix 5700, and N80. Thanks again for checking out my work. -- mrw
